I've actually been saying this for a few weeks now, but I think it's time for a coaching change. I wanted to give this staff a chance since they had never really had a training camp until this year. But it's apparent that whatever they are preaching is not getting through. I still think that the guys just seem out of sync on most nights. The chemistry is not there. It's hard to imagine that a team with this much talent continues to make such bone headed mistakes night after night. I think it might be time for a new preacher in the church before things get too far gone.
As for Ward.....wow, I'm just not sure. He just doesn't seem to have his mind in the game. Like Tripp said, it's like he just loses focus for strectches of the game. I can't help but think that there is more going on with him than we know. Whether it be physical or emotional.
We are only 3pts out of a playoff spot AND are currently going to get the 5th pick in next year's draft. Not many coaching staffs can accomplish that...
Frustrated and losing interest here. The forwards need to take more ownership of these recent losses. Staal's, Ruutu, Semin and yes, Skinner the most. Gosh he's bad in our own end. When he is going to learn to be a 2 way player and play some freakin' D. If the Cane's announcers would STOP sugar-coating his poor play and call it like it is, we'd all be better off. Also at loss for Cam Ward's play, is he hurt, emotionally drained or just purposely playing his way out of a permanent #1 job. He's been terrible and the 6.3 M albatross is hurting the team. Rant over.
Sekera on the other hand, what a pleasant surprise and solid player.
